Pool equipment installation, premium standard

Pool equipment installation in Sarasota, done as a system.

Most pool equipment installation in Sarasota is "swap the broken part, leave the rest, hope for the best." We design the equipment pad as a system: variable-speed pump matched to the right plumbing, salt cell sized for the gallons, automation wired to the panel that already exists. The result is a pad that is quieter, cheaper to run, and still working when the warranty ends.

  • 1-year Sundays installer warranty on every install
  • Factory-trained on Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, and Raypak
  • $65 site survey, written quote, no sales pressure

The cost of waiting

Old pool equipment is silently costing you $50 a month.

A 12-year-old single-speed pump in a Sarasota pool burns about $90 of electricity per month. A modern variable-speed pump on the same pool burns $20 to $35. The difference is real money, and it compounds every billing cycle the old pump stays on the pad. New pool equipment installation is not a luxury for most homeowners. It is a payback calculation.

Behind the cabinet door

What a Sundays-installed pad actually looks like.

Most equipment pads in Sarasota look like a parts pile someone glued together. Ours look like a system. Tap the door to slide it open and see the difference.

Real pad we rebuilt in Bradenton. Same pump location, same filter pad, but the system behind it is rebuilt as one unit. Owner's electric bill came down on the first cycle.

Pool equipment installation Sarasota homeowners ask about often comes down to one number: monthly run cost. The Recommended package usually drops that number from about $90 to about $30. See ENERGY STAR's variable-speed pump program for the underlying efficiency math.

The numbers

What a new pool pump actually saves you.

Florida law required variable-speed pumps on new pool installs starting July 2011 because the savings are that lopsided. The math below uses the published efficiency curves and the standard Florida residential rate of $0.14 per kWh, not a number we cannot back up.

Old single-speed pump

$90/ month

  • 1.5 HP, 240V
  • 8 hours/day at full speed
  • Florida average $0.14 per kWh
  • Roughly 700 kWh per month
  • Loud, hot, and tripping breakers

New variable-speed pump

$28/ month

  • 3 HP variable, 240V
  • 10 hours/day at low speed, 2 at high
  • Same Florida $0.14 per kWh
  • Roughly 200 kWh per month
  • Quiet, cool, sips electricity

Monthly savings

$62

Pump pays itself back in 24 months. After that, pure savings against the old pump's bill.

How an install works

Pool equipment installation, from site survey to pool app, in five steps.

  1. 1

    $65 site survey

Sam comes to the property. He measures the pool, photographs the existing pad, reads the panel, checks plumbing diameters, and asks how you actually use the pool. The $65 covers the visit and the written report, and it's credited back toward the install if you book the work. The report is yours to keep, even if you go with someone else.

  2. 2

    Quote and equipment selection

Within 48 hours you get a written quote: parts, plumbing, electrical, labor, and disposal of the old equipment. We recommend the package that fits your pool, your usage, and your budget, and we explain the trade-offs. No upselling.

  3. 3

    Equipment ordered, schedule confirmed

Once you approve, we order the equipment direct from the factory. Most installs are scheduled within 5 to 7 days. We text you the install date, the start time, and the technician's name. Sam himself runs every install over $4,000.

  4. 4

    Install day

We isolate the pad, remove old equipment, rebuild plumbing, install new equipment, prime the system, set chemistry, and test every component under load. We clean up the pad and dispose of the old equipment. You see the pad before we leave, working.

  5. 5

    App setup and walkthrough

If automation is part of the install, Sam connects the controller to your home Wi-Fi, walks you through the app on your phone, and sets the schedules. You get a printed run-book covering every component on the pad.

Why install with Sundays

Five reasons this install will outlast the warranty.

Sam runs every install personally. The pad is designed as a system, not a parts list. The warranty covers our installation work, not just the components.

  1. 01

    Same crew every visit.

Big pool companies rotate techs through your route. Yours could be a different person every visit, none of whom know your equipment. We assign a single technician to your pool. They learn the pump, the gate latch, and the dog's name.

  2. 02

Photo report, in your inbox, every visit.

Most pool services are a black box: the water is somehow clean, an invoice arrives at the end of the month. With us, you get a photo and the full chemistry numbers every visit. Trust by default, not on faith.

  3. 03

Sam has 8+ years on high-end pools.

Including pool work for celebrity homes in Los Angeles before moving home to Florida. The standards he learned on a $500,000 pool in Beverly Hills are the same standards he holds on a $20,000 pool in Bradenton.

  4. 04

    Closed Sundays, for family.

Pool people work every day of the year, and most never see their kids on a weekend. Samuel built this company so his crew gets one real day with their families. You get six days of crystal-clear care, plus a weekend to enjoy it.

  5. 05

The Sundays Promise: clear by Saturday.

If your water is not swim-ready by the weekend, we come back Monday at no extra charge until it is. No invoices for any service that did not deliver clear water. We stand on the work.

Common questions

Pool equipment installation questions homeowners ask.

How long does a pool equipment installation take?
A single-component install (pump only, salt cell only) takes about half a day. A full equipment-pad rebuild (pump, filter, salt system, plumbing) is one to two days. Smart automation adds half a day for wiring and app setup. We give you a firm timeline at the site survey, before any equipment is ordered.
Will a variable-speed pump really pay for itself?
Yes. Florida law requires variable-speed pumps on pools with motors over one horsepower because the savings are that real. Most Sarasota homeowners save $40 to $80 per month on electricity. The pump pays back in 18 to 30 months. After that the savings are pure margin against the old single-speed pump bill.
What warranty comes with a new pool equipment installation?
Every install carries our 1-year Sundays installer warranty: if the install fails inside 12 months, we redo it free. New equipment also carries whatever manufacturer warranty the part comes with, but the warranty we stand behind is the one on the install itself.
Can I supply my own pool equipment for the install?
Yes, but it changes the warranty. We will install equipment you bought from anywhere, but the installer warranty is shorter (90 days instead of 1 year) because we cannot vouch for the part. Most homeowners save more by letting us source the equipment because we get factory pricing the box stores do not.
Do I need to upgrade my electrical panel for new pool equipment?
Usually not. Variable-speed pumps actually draw less current than the single-speed pumps they replace. Smart automation and heat pumps may need a sub-panel upgrade if your existing panel is full. We assess this at the site survey and quote any electrical work upfront with a licensed Florida electrician.
What pool equipment brands do you install?
We are factory-trained on Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, Polaris, Raypak, and Sta-Rite. Those four cover about 95 percent of pool equipment installed in Sarasota County. We can recommend a brand based on what is already on your pad, what the prior owner installed, and what you actually want long-term.

Ready for a quieter, cheaper pad?

Schedule your site survey for pool equipment installation.

Tell us your ZIP and a sentence about what is on the pad now. Sam comes out within a week, photographs the pad, reads the panel, and writes you a quote. $65 flat for the survey, credited back toward the install if you book. No sales pressure, no pushy financing. The report is yours to keep, even if you go with someone else.
