Venice pool service for full-time residents and snowbirds.
Venice has the highest pool-per-household density of any market we serve. The community skews older (the median age sits well above the Florida average) and that maps to a few specific things in pool service: a lot of pools that have been in continuous service for 20 to 40 years, a population that uses the pool for daily exercise rather than weekend recreation, and a heavy snowbird overlay that creates seasonal scheduling needs. Sundays Pools is set up for all three.
Owner Samuel Michaels worked Venice routes early in his Florida career before founding Sundays Pools, and he knows the neighborhoods well enough that the visit reports we send out from Venice Gardens or South Venice have the kind of specific local detail that you can only write if the tech actually sees the pool.
Pool services we provide in Venice
Weekly pool cleaning
Same crew every week, 10-point service visit, full chemistry balance, photo report. Most Venice pools run $120 to $200 a month; saltwater systems add $10/mo.
See weekly service details →Snowbird seasonal service
Adjust the cadence while you are away (chemistry checks weekly, vacuuming as needed) and resume full service when you return. The visit reports email you the same way regardless of season.
See weekly service details →Green to clean recovery
Especially common after long snowbird absences in Venice. Four flat-rate tiers from $150 to $1,200+, $65 day-one site assessment, swim-ready in seven days.
See green-to-clean details →Pool repair
Pumps, motors, filters, heaters, salt cells, plumbing, automation. 24-hour Venice response, $65 flat diagnostic, written quote before any work, one-year warranty.
See repair details →Equipment installation
Variable-speed pumps and salt cells are the most common Venice installs. We replace a lot of failing 1990s and 2000s equipment with modern variable-speed systems that drop electric bills by $40 to $80 a month.
See install details →Pool acid wash
Venice has many pools at acid-wash age. Drain, scrub the plaster surface, neutralize, refill, balance. Starts at $1,200 with a $65 site assessment.

Long absences are the norm.
Pools that sit unattended for three to six months between snowbird visits behave very differently from pools that get weekly attention year-round. We have a specific pre-departure visit and a return-from-up-north visit that customers can layer onto weekly service. The pre-departure visit balances chemistry to long-soak levels, sets up a low-flow pump schedule, and notes anything that needs attention before a long absence. The return visit gets the chemistry back to swim-ready by your arrival date.
The housing stock is older than most Gulf Coast markets.
A lot of Venice pools were built in the 1980s and 1990s. By 2026, the original equipment has been replaced once or twice, and the original plaster is at the point where acid wash is the recurring conversation. We tell honestly which pools are candidates for one more acid wash and which are at the point where replaster is the better next move.
Beach proximity affects equipment lifespan.
Pools on Venice Island and the older waterfront properties see meaningful salt-air corrosion. Pump motors, heater housings, and electrical contacts wear faster here than inland. We add salt-air-specific watch points on the weekly visit for pools within a quarter mile of the gulf.

Common Venice pool service questions
Can you watch my pool while I'm in Michigan / Ohio / Pennsylvania?
Yes. Snowbird scheduling is a normal part of our Venice service. We adjust the visit cadence while you are away and email you the visit reports the same way regardless of season. If you want a lower-cost off-season schedule (chemistry only, no vacuuming), we can do that too.
Do you offer service for pools used heavily by retirees doing daily laps?
Yes. Pools used daily for exercise need slightly tighter chemistry (free chlorine high enough to kill bather load but not so high it's irritating) and we calibrate the chemistry to that use. We also note water level more closely on these pools because regular use can drop levels faster than evaporation alone.
Can you handle a 30-year-old Venice plaster pool?
Yes. We service plenty of Venice pools that are 30 to 40 years old. Some get a chemistry-led recovery, some get an acid wash, some are at the point where replaster makes more sense. We assess in person before quoting.
What if my pool turned green while I was away?
Common Venice scenario. The first visit is a $65 site assessment to read severity and lock in a tier. Most snowbird returns are Mild ($150 to $300) or Moderate ($300 to $600) tier recoveries, swim-ready in three to seven days. Full process here.
Do you serve Plantation and the Jacaranda corridor?
Yes. Plantation, Jacaranda West, The Lakes of Jacaranda, and Sawgrass are all on our weekly route.
